To win, you'll have to submit a 5-minute speech on YouTube for the initial selection process. The top 10 competitors will be selected to compete live, virtually, in front of a panel of judges and in front of a supportive audience- it's epic!
What is the judging criteria for the competition?
You will be judged on the duration of your speech, emotional contrast, story arc, relevance of the lesson, tonality, body movement, audience engagement, and more. A detailed scoring rubric will be shared with all participants.
During each week, we will focus on helping you understand how to work on these skills so you end the program with a bang! You'll grow professionally as a storyteller and an orator so much more than you can imagine right now.
What will the winners receive?
The top three winners will receive exclusive prizes from our judges, award badges, professional speaker reels, and more. Additionally, there will be surprise giveaways during the speechwriting phase for competitors who actively participate and support others.
What is a speaker reel & what will mine look like?
A speaker reel is a short video feature of a speaker speaking! This is usually no more than 3-5 minutes highlighting a speaker.
After the competition has ended, our team will get to work to compose a speaker sizzle reel highlighting all the competitors and the event. As a competitor, you are welcome to use this in any marketing material you choose. This will likely be a 1-2 minute sizzle reel.
The First Prize & Second Prize winners will get a more customized speaker reel, highlighting them directly as the winners. This may be closer to 3-4 minutes.
What does it cost to join the program?
The investment is $497. You get world class coaching from a World Champion Speaking Coach. You'll get high level help to craft your unique speech. This includes the opportunity to win thousands of dollars worth of exclusive prizes, receive media exposure, access coaching sessions, and much more. I am not based in the USA. Can I still participate?
Yes, while we suggest North American participants for timezone convenience, we welcome participants from around the world. You are required to be live, on camera, for the competition if you are one of the selected Top 10 finalists.
What if I am not comfortable speaking in front of an audience?
It's perfectly normal to be nervous. Remember, this program aims to help you grow as a speaker. Plus, the coaching sessions will provide you with techniques to manage stage fright and craft the best speech possible to give you confidence about what you're creating.
